Joseph E. Ammirati is professor of botany and adjunct professor of forest resources at the University of Washington. He is a member of the Toxicology Committee of the North American Mycological Association, serves on the editorial board of Mushroom: The Journal of Wild Mushrooming, and is coauthor of Poisonous Mushrooms of the Northern United States and Canada.
