Richard Wagamese is an Ojibway from the Wabaseemoong First Nation in northwestern Ontario. Dream Wheels, the third of his four novels, won the 2007 Canadian Authors Association Award for Fiction. His columns for the Calgary Herald won a National Newspaper Award in 1991. He lives outside Kamloops, B.C.
