Wherever Paul Kariya, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim’s star left winger, has played—internationally, on the U.S. college circuit or in Canadian junior hockey—he has astonished his competitors and teammates with his talent. In 1993 he led Canada to a gold medal in the World Junior Hockey championships, and the next year he helped power his native country to a silver medal in the Olympics and a gold medal in the World Championships.
