Pavel Bure was always destined for hockey greatness. Since birth, his swimming-champion father raised him to be an elite athlete. At age six, Pavel attended his first hockey tryout wearing a pair of girl's figure skates. Two months later, after practising daily and following his father's conditioning program, Pavel tried out again. By the end of the year, he was the best player on the team.
