Mark Scott | President

Mark Scott is the principal shareholder and President of the company, a position he assumed in April 2007. He began his financial career in 1983 with Morguard Investments in Toronto before heading to the investment-banking firm of McLeod, Young, Weir Co. (now Scotia Capital) in 1987. He worked for nearly six years with Scotia Capital in each of Toronto, Hong Kong and Vancouver. His most recent position was as Managing Director and Office Head for Scotia Capital in Vancouver.

As President of D&M Publishers, he is responsible for acquiring new publishing related companies, identifying opportunities related to our existing publishing businesses, and investigating and creating new digital publishing ventures. He has overall responsibility for finance, administration and branding.

He earned a B.A. in Management Economics from the University of Guelph. In addition to collecting publishing companies, Scott is a noted book collector.
