Eric Enno Tamm - SPEAKEASY || The Horse That Leaps through Clouds

Eric Enno Tamm knew he had problems from the beginning. With access denied to China, he nonetheless set out to retrace Baron Carl Gustav Mannerheim's footsteps from Russia to China a century before, and encountered more than just this first obstacle along the way. He chronicles both his journey and Mannerheim's in his new book The Horse That Leaps through Clouds - one that Wade Davis says "reveals him to be at once an intrepid adventurer, fine writer, and discerning historian." John Burns caught up with him in Vancouver Chinatown's Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Gardens for this episode of Speakeasy.
